About the client
Caffeine Junkies specialise in the servicing and repair of all traditional espresso machines and coffee making equipment. They are based just outside of Guildford and operate throughout Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex.
The project brief
Caffeine Junkies was to become the new trading name for “Coffee Engineer”, so a rebrand was in order. The old website offered a very limited amount of user functionality and was difficult to update. New functionality was needed, including a coverage area page, contact form, Google map and a much more modern aesthetic.
How I met the brief
In our initial meeting we discussed font choice, colour palette and the general direction for the business. It was agreed that a new logo would be the centre point for the new design, so this is where I started work. Once complete a fresh new website was designed around the logo, giving the user a simple interface to navigate with minimal clutter.
WordPress provided the platform for the new website. I set out to create a very straightforward interface for the site administrator to use, so the home page was heavily widgetised. Using widgets meant the individual boxes in the home page are a cinch modify, and there is a great deal of flexibility.
The website is also responsive, so it displays well on smartphones, tablets and desktop computers.
- A simple lightweight build, aimed at delivering content quickly.
- Bespoke mobile navigation which moves the main navigation to the top of the page.
- “coverage area” page with custom interface in the admin area, allowing map points to be plot on a Google map.
