About the client

Bizex provide a comprehensive range of business management services, including auditing, assessment and quality management. Bizex are based in Hampshire, UK, and work with a variety of engineering, manufacturing and aerospace companies.

The project brief

Being relatively new online, Bizex were looking to create an online presence and build their brand. The main purpose of the website would be to effectively communicate with potential clients and help to secure new contracts.

I was asked to produce a clean, simple to use website which would enable fast browsing. The new website would be accessed on a variety of devices, both mobile and desktop.

How I met the brief

The project started with a new logo design, which can be seen on the finished website. The logo features an aeroplane graphic which pays tribute to the directors previous working background in the aviation sector.

Once the logo was complete a design for the website was produced and coded. The website runs on the popular WordPress platform, enabling the website administrator to make quick updates to content across the website.

A combination of CSS3 and javaScript was used to make the website responsive, offering a seamless experience on both mobile and desktop platforms.

Notable features

  • The content slider on the home page shows a summary of all services offered by Bizex. For larger screen sizes the slider moves from top to bottom and uses a landscape layout, but when viewing on a smaller screen the slider reloads with smaller images in portrait format for optimal viewing.
  • An easy to use blog which pulls the latest news to the sidebar.
  • The sidebar slides out using CSS3 animations on small screens.
  • A series of diagrams were drawn in Illustrator for the services pages.

Words from the client
